For long , the world gave much importance to intelligence quotient (IQ).later in 1990’s Psychologists stressed the importance of emotional quotient (eq).

Now new dimension to human intelligence has introduced i.e. Multiple Intelligence. "We are all able to know the world through language, logical-mathematical analysis, spatial representation, musical thinking, the use of the body to solve problems or to make things, an understanding of other individuals, and an understanding of ourselves.” Every child differs in these dimensions of intelligences. If child is not performing well in the academics that doesn’t mean he is not intelligent. He might have other profile of intelligence. One student could have more than two intelligences. Such intelligences are invoked and combined to carry out different tasks, solve diverse problems and progress in various domains.

Each child will have his own unique set of intellectual strengths and weaknesses. These sets determine how easy or difficult it is for a student to learn information when it is presented in a particular manner. Multiple intelligence gives a student, whole new way to look at their lives and examining their potentials. One can excel into different intelligences through various learning styles such as –visual, kinesthetic (bodily) and auditory. It’s commonly believed that most people favor some particular method of interacting with, talking in and processing information. It can work as a fuel to strengthen the multiple intelligences among children.

The awakening of one’s intelligence may be a time of great joy and meaning and may pave for personal growth and feeling of being in control.

Gardner proposed eight abilities that he held to meet these criteria:

  1. musical-rhythmic,
  2. visual- spatial
  3. verbal-linguistic,
  4. logical-mathematical,
  5. bodily-kinesthetic,
  6. interpersonal,
  7. intrapersonal,
  8. naturalistic

Life Skills--Life is like a book

Life is like a book              Life is a book and there are thousand pages I have not yet read by “Cassandra Clare”                Every book has lots of chapters. Some have 10, some have 20 and some have 50. Every chapter is different from others. You can consider these chapters as part of life. In our life, we have different situations, some goes for long and some ends up easily. Some are difficult to understand and some of situations are every day’s cup of tea. If one chapter of life is really disturbing and challenging then what should one do? First of all don't get panic. Just let it be the way it is. Next chapter will be different. You might not like that even. But continue reading mean observing it and it will end soon. ...
